1. Data controller

CaterMe Sverige AB is the data controller for the processing of your personal data. For data protection queries, contact us at privacy@caterme.eu.

2. What data we collect

Account information: name, email address and phone number you provide when registering.

Booking and transaction data: event details, guest count, date, payment information (card details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored by us).

Communications: messages you send via the contact form or within the service.

Technical data: IP address, browser type and information about how you use the site, collected via cookies.

3. Why we process your data

Contract performance: to provide the service, manage bookings and send confirmations (legal basis: performance of contract).

Customer support: to respond to questions and resolve issues (legal basis: legitimate interest).

Security and fraud prevention: to protect the service and our users (legal basis: legitimate interest).

Legal obligations: to comply with accounting laws and other applicable requirements (legal basis: legal obligation).

We do not send marketing communications without your consent.

4. How long we retain data

Account information is retained while the account is active and deleted no later than 12 months after account closure.

Booking and payment data is retained for 7 years in accordance with accounting legislation.

Contact form communications are retained for 24 months.

Technical logs are retained for a maximum of 90 days.

5. Who we share data with

Catering partners: booking-relevant information (name, contact details, event details) is shared with the catering company you book.

Technical subcontractors: we engage service providers for hosting, database and email who process data on our behalf under signed data processing agreements.

Authorities: we disclose data when required by law.

We never sell personal data to third parties.

6. Your rights

You have the right to request access to the data we hold about you, the right to correction of inaccurate data, the right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") and the right to data portability.

You may at any time object to processing based on legitimate interest and request restriction of processing.

Send your request to privacy@caterme.eu and we will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority (in Sweden: Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, www.imy.se).

7. Cookies

We use necessary cookies to keep the site working (e.g. login session and language preference) and analytical cookies to understand how the service is used.

You can manage cookie settings in your browser. Note that blocking necessary cookies may affect functionality.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes you will be notified by email or via a notice in the service. The latest version is always available at caterme.eu/en/privacy-policy.
