How do I book catering through CaterMe?
Enter your address in the search bar on the homepage, choose a catering company and send a request or book directly. You can also download the app for an even smoother experience. The whole process takes under 5 minutes.
What does it cost to use CaterMe?
It's completely free for customers. You only pay for the catering you book, at the price set by the catering company. No hidden fees.
How does the quote process work?
You send a request with your event details (date, location, number of guests, desired food). The catering company responds with a quote. You compare, ask questions in the chat, and accept when you're satisfied. Everything is handled directly in the app or on the website.
Can I compare multiple catering companies?
Yes! You can send requests to several companies at once and compare quotes side by side. We recommend comparing at least 2–3 options for the best price and fit.
How do I know the catering companies are reliable?
We review and verify all catering partners before they go live. Verified companies have a green verified badge on their profile. You can also read genuine reviews from previous customers.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes. Cancellation policies vary per catering company and are clearly stated on their profile and in the booking confirmation. As a guideline: more than 14 days in advance gives a full refund (minus a small admin fee). Always read the terms carefully before booking.
What happens if the catering company cancels?
If a catering company cancels your booking you receive a full refund and we actively help you find an equivalent alternative at short notice.
How do I pay?
You pay by card (Visa/Mastercard) or Swish directly in the app or on the website. Payments are handled by Stripe — one of the world's leading payment providers. We never store card details.
Can I book catering at short notice?
Yes, many of our catering partners accept bookings with 24–72 hours' notice. Filter by 'fast delivery' in the app to see available options.
Can the food be adapted for allergies?
Most catering companies offer alternatives for common allergies (gluten, lactose, nuts) as well as vegan and vegetarian dishes. Always state your requirements in the request.
For catering companies
How do I apply to become a catering partner?
Fill in the form on our 'For catering companies' page. We review your application and get back to you within 1–2 working days. Approved partners get access to a full dashboard.
What does it cost to be on CaterMe?
No monthly fee or setup fee. CaterMe takes a commission of 10% per completed booking. You only pay when you earn.
How does the commission work?
10% of the booking value. Example: a booking of SEK 10,000 gives SEK 9,000 paid out to you. CaterMe retains SEK 1,000 to cover the platform, payment solution and customer support.
How and when do I get paid?
Payment is made via Stripe directly to your bank account within 5 working days after the event has been completed and confirmed by the customer. You can see all payouts in your dashboard.
Can I choose which bookings I accept?
Absolutely. You decide entirely which requests you accept. You can decline assignments that don't fit your capacity, area, or specialty — with no consequences.
How are customer cancellations handled?
You set your own cancellation rules in your dashboard. CaterMe displays these clearly to the customer at the time of booking. For late cancellations you are entitled to compensation according to the rules you have set.
How do I set prices in CaterMe?
You enter a price per person (min/max) and can offer packages for different types of events. Prices are shown clearly to the customer and you can adjust them at any time in your dashboard.
Can I limit my delivery area?
Yes. You specify a delivery radius (in km from your base) and which cities you deliver to. Customers outside your area will not see your company in search results.
What is required to become an approved partner?
We require that you have an F-tax certificate (if you are a registered company), relevant catering experience, and can provide reference photos of your food. We conduct a brief introductory session by phone.
